OpportunityTrinity United Methodist Church will award scholarships to high school seniors pursuing their first year of higher education in 2017. To be considered for financial support, applications must be received via email by the church office on or before April 15, 2017.
The Trinity Higher Education Scholarships are made possible through the generosity of those who donated money to this scholarship fund. Interest earned on the designated investment accounts is available for Trinity Higher Education Scholarships. To appropriately steward the money received from these donors, scholarship money will only be awarded through the application process following the criteria listed below. To be eligible for a Trinity Higher Education Scholarship, the youth must be a member of Trinity United Methodist Church or have been confirmed and/or currently eligible to seek membership at our church. The student must have a grade point average of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale, and be enrolled or planning to enroll at a university, college or technical school during the 2017-2018 academic school year. Selection ProcessA committee of individuals, recruited by the Director of Education, will review the application materials and select qualified recipients. This committee will also be involved in discussions related to extenuating circumstances of eligibility, as warranted.
NotificationApplicants who are awarded scholarships will be notified by postal letter in May. This letter will include information about how to access the scholarship.
Promotion/RecognitionAll material submitted as part of a scholarship application, with the exclusion of the academic transcript, may be used at the sole discretion of Trinity United Methodist Church for program promotion and recipient recognition purposes.
Wisconsin United Methodist Foundation ScholarshipsPost High School and Seminary/Ministry Scholarships are available through the Wisconsin United Methodist Foundation.
